We are a family run business based in the Scottish Borders.
Devlin Jones Fire Bellows was started over 30 years ago by John Jones, a talented craftsman who lived and worked in Wiltshire, and the business was simply known as “John Jones Fire Bellows”. I, Ruth Devlin his niece, took on the business several years ago when John sadly passed away, having previously been a traditional upholsterer for over 20 years. Many of the designs used today are based on John’s original templates, inspired by traditional bellows used for decades in homes across the country. Over the years I have added a couple of my own designs and also offer a more contemporary twist to the bellows adding Harris Tweed, ostrich hide, zebra print amongst other variations as alternatives to the traditional leather insert — please see the bespoke page for more details or alternatively have a look at our gallery.
We are committed to carrying on the traditional skills associated with firebellows whilst introducing modern colours and materials to give a contemporary twist. The skills and experience within the business enable us to accept commissions or personalise bellows to create a really special heirloom for the future.
